Abstract:

The relationship between architecture and culture is always one of the issues discussed in many textbooks and scientific literatures of architecture and culture. This relationship is more important in the field of housing. Because the house are specific tied to the culture of all segments of society. What channels and how this relationship is done, is the question that every study can be examined from different angles. But the important point is what aspect of architecture can provide true understanding of this relationship. This human face of creation of space can be seen in the context of patterns. Growth pattern grows in within the culture and mean the architecture. Thus this research seeks to present some problems of rural homes that mainly are interpretive with the conditions of the cultural, based on the pattern view. This study is based on the assumption that every culture draws a system of updating architectural patterns to update the architectural patterns for creators and designers. Because of the importance of according to case studies and at the same time benefiting from the results of previous studies in this research, grounded theory approach with the benefit of both qualitative and quantitative research are used. This study consists of five stages that were set aimed to providing a better understanding the research problem, understanding the current situation, identifying changes and their interrelationships, understanding the mechanism of changes based on cultural factors and the theoretical interpretation of the results. In this regard, Masabi al-city districts were selected for the final study. The research results indicate that architectural patterns are a strong relationship with lifestyle and conceptual system of culture and are redefined within these relationships. This research also presents the components in these three areas according to its case study. Based on this result, the current architecture of the surveyed villages has five injuries that will be mentioned at the end of the study.
